Dessa Gypalo serves as the inaugural chief data officer for Cook County, Ill., where her focus is to bring a culture of data to the county while leveraging data assets to make informed decisions. Over the last decade, Dessa has worked with local and national political campaigns, and provided data support for numerous nonprofit organizations. She has led teams and initiatives at NGP VAN/ EveryAction, Enroll America, and Obama for America. Dessa holds a BA in History and Business Administration from Roanoke College.
