The partnership will see Civil Space’s software integrated directly into the CivicPlus platform, according to a press release. The CivicPlus platform includes a content management system for websites, meeting and agenda management and 311 — in other words, plenty of opportunity to connect residents who are seeing information about projects to engagement software where they can tell a local government how they feel about those projects.
“Our CivicPlus Platform is already the most effective tool designed exclusively for local governments to engage citizens with news, alerts, job opportunities, public works service requests, and recreation opportunities,” said Jonathan Wiersma, CivicPlus’ director of product strategy, in the statement. “Adding Civil Space adds a new critical engagement element to our comprehensive suite of solutions — direct access and actionable feedback from citizens on projects that will help reshape and improve their collective community.”
Civil Space, founded in 2018, is headquartered in Canada but also has a presence in the United Kingdom.
