The integration of Polaris’ 3D Location tool with Mark43’s AWS cloud-enabled CAD will allow police and fire departments to track their teams in three-dimensional space with floor-level accuracy, including indoors and in high-rise buildings, according to Mark43’s news release. Using signals, sensors and algorithms to find devices on a vertical axis within 3 meters, the Polaris Wireless 3D Location Platform operates independently of wireless carrier networks, allowing Mark43’s CAD to locate any device on any network.
“Giving command and control centers full visibility into first responders’ locations is crucial when it comes to emergency dispatch, where every second counts,” said Mark43 CEO Scott Crouch in a statement. “We are always aiming to integrate the best possible capabilities into our suite of offerings, and we look forward to working with Polaris Wireless to increase safety and efficiency for our first responders.”
Mark43, a company that makes data-management and communications software for law enforcement, has been partnering with specialized tech companies to expand its suite of software and hardware products since fundraising $38 million in March 2018. In the past year, it has partnered with SPIDR Tech, RapidSOS, Carbyne, Callyo and the National Police Foundation.
