Adobe and CoSo Cloud Will Fuel Fed Distance Learning Push

The Federal Government Distance Learning Association, or FGDLA, turns to the two tech companies as it seeks to expand its programs and better measure engagement and success. The FGDLA traces its roots back to 1993.

Federal distance learning is set for a boost this year via a partnership with two companies involved with government technology.

The Federal Government Distance Learning Association, or FGDLA, has teamed with Adobe and CoSo Cloud, which sells secure private-cloud managed services and other tools for digital learning, for continuing education programs for government agencies, according to a statement.

The effort will result in new programs and resources, along with better ways to measure the success of those programs and increase what the statement called “learner engagement.”

Adobe Connect will deliver training and webinars via the CoSo Cloud’s FedRAMP platform.

"At the FGDLA, our mission is to empower government professionals through cutting-edge learning solutions,” said Erika Jacobs, FGDLA president, in the statement. “This partnership with Adobe and CoSo Cloud marks a significant step forward in our efforts to provide accessible, high-quality education to those serving our nation.”

The FGDLA traces its roots back to 1993.

It has recently offered training on such issues as artificial intelligence, engagement strategies, using Moodle learning management software in government, digital literacy and other issues.

“Adobe is committed to helping government agencies modernize their digital experiences to serve their constituents better," Erik Miller, government sales director, Adobe Learning Solutions, said in the statement. "By partnering with the FGDLA, we aim to provide government professionals with the tools they need to enhance their skills and effectively fulfill their missions.”

This new partnership comes as schools of all types set plans to teach artificial intelligence and other fresh tech topics, and as school districts upgrade their own digital learning plans.
