Envisio sells performance management software to public agencies and has also earned attention for its dashboards.
Based in Canada, the company launched in 2012, with co-founder Mike Bell at the helm.
With Ross taking over as CEO, Bell will continue as what a statement calls “an active member of the board.”
Ross assumes leadership of the company as it comes off revenue growth of 43 percent in the first three quarters of 2024 compared with the same period from last year.
Envisio also recently inked a partnership with Tyler Technologies designed to help public agencies conduct priority-based budgeting.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to build upon Envisio’s many years of success working with some of the most forward-thinking cities, counties, health care, nonprofit and education institutions in North America and across the globe,” said Ross in the statement.
His experience prior to Envisio includes working as interim CEO at Euna Solutions — which used to be GTY Technology before a rebranding in 2023.
He held that job for seven months, according to his LinkedIn profile. The company’s products include budgeting, grants, payments and procurement technology.
Before that, he put in more than a year as CEO of eCivis, a grant management company acquired and then integrated by GTY in 2019.
He spent more than a decade at budgeting management software supplier Questica, where his jobs included president and chief revenue officer. GTY acquired Questica in the same deal that included eCivis.
“Envisio’s future is bright with Craig supporting our team’s mission to serve local government and other public-sector organizations in enhancing trust and transparency,” said Bell in the statement. “Craig brings more than three decades of experience in the government technology software space, including a deep background in budgeting software and ERP.”
