Versaterm has bought New Hampshire- and Vancouver-based CI Technologies, founded in 1992 and which sells professional standards, internal affairs, wellness and early intervention software for public safety agencies, according to a statement.
Terms were not disclosed.
CI Technologies services more than 950 agencies in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
With the acquisition, Versaterm now adds to its product offerings IAPro NextGen, Public Portal, BlueTeam, EIPro and MakeNOTE, tools focused on such tasks as standards, documentation, oversight, note-taking and performance evaluations.
“We continue to expand our ecosystem to solve the present and future challenges of the public safety community," said Warren Loomis, president and CEO of Versaterm Public Safety, in that statement. “CI Technologies has developed proven best-in-class solutions, and now, including them into the Versaterm Public Safety ecosystem, we'll combine our respective industry-leading solutions, delivering seamless workflows and continuous improvements for our public safety partners.”
In a recent analytical review of gov tech business trends, Versaterm stood out for consistently being “one of the more acquisitive platforms in the public safety space in the last few years.”
The company has made at least seven acquisitions since 2020, according to that review. Among them was a deal announced in late 2022 for the acquisition of FivePoint Solutions, which provides data integration and case management for courts and public safety agencies.
