The company has inked a product access deal with Illinois-based Midwest Public Safety.

That company will offer Veritone’s “complete line of AI-powered applications for law enforcement and judicial agencies” to clients and potential customers across the Midwest, according to a statement from Veritone.

More specifically, the company highlighted the potential appeal of its products Veritone Investigate, a digital evidence management tool, and Veritone Redact, software for video and audio redaction, as part of this deal. Both products can help law enforcement agencies streamline and better manage vital police tasks, according to Veritone.

“With the increasing volume of digital evidence that public safety agencies handle, it is crucial to have a solution that manages this data effectively and also ensures compliance with privacy regulations,” said Jeff Oost, vice president of sales and marketing for Midwest Public Safety, in that statement. “Veritone’s iDEMS and Redact solutions provide exactly that, and we are excited to offer these powerful tools to our customers."

Veritone says it has some 3,500 customers. Earlier this year it released its Ask Veri offering, described by the company as a “new conversational intelligence solution” that is powered by artificial intelligence and designed to help police find evidence and access records more quickly.

Midwest Public Safety was founded in 2005 and sells such products as the Getac Rugged Computer and Mobile Video Solutions, Dragoneye Lidar, Decatur Traffic Radar and PrintekMobile printer.
