August 4, 2014 – Information technology integrators and industry leaders were honored as top integrators and innovators of technology solutions for government in 2014 at e.Republic’s Center for Digital Government’s Best Fit Integrator and Industry Leadership Awards dinner in Park City, Utah, yesterday.
The Best Fit Integrator Awards honor technology firms that tailor solutions to fit the unique needs of government. Winners were selected from nominations submitted by public sector agencies of companies who partnered with them on projects addressing such areas as data analytics, health and human services, finance and administrative services, justice and public safety and the courts.
Each year, leadership awards are presented to individuals from the private sector who have demonstrated vision, leadership, support of technology, and have worked to improve the lives of others.
“Now, more than ever, it is critical that government and industry work together to achieve successes that neither could accomplish as effectively on their own,” said Todd Sander, Executive Director for the Center for Digital Government. “These integrators demonstrate how innovative and practical solutions and collaboration can make a real difference, helping governments operate more efficiently and provide enhanced services to constituents, thus benefitting everyone. New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA, Inc.
Collaboration Award in Public Safety and Motor Vehicle Services
Partner and Project: New Jersey eTemp Tags
The New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA, Inc. worked with 435 local police jurisdictions, three state police offices, automobile dealerships, toll authorities and private sector technology companies to provide secure access to the e-Temp Tag service - a streamlined, easily accessible New Jersey temporary vehicle tag online service.

Exceptional Service Award in Finance and Administration
Partner and Project: County of San Diego IT Chargeback Replacement Project
San Diego County’s new web-based IT chargeback management system, ITrack, provides cost analysis and reporting, cost budgeting, and total cost of ownership for IT - increasing fiscal stability, accountability, and transparency. Savings are estimated to be approximately $850,000 annually.

Horizon and Performance Award in Education Services
Partner and Project: YOUniversal Arkansas Financial Aid System
The “YOUniversal” Financial Aid System is an online scholarship application system that matches Arkansas students with scholarships and streamlines the application process by integrating twenty-one programs from different governmental agencies into one mobile-accessible application. Since its implementation YOUniversal has achieved triple the number of scholarship applications, and realized a cost savings of nearly $475,000.

Modernization Award in Health and Human Services
Partner and Project: Pennsylvania H2X – Health and Human Services Exchange
Deloitte designed, developed, and implemented H2X, the enterprise-wide clearing house of information for individuals served by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)-based system exchanges client information with external federal, state, local, and private data sources either in real-time, near real-time, or in batch.

Performance and Modernization Award in Finance and Administration
Partner and Project: California Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR)
The California Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR) Project has enabled the Franchise Tax Board to lay the foundation for modernizing California tax systems, generating additional revenue, and providing a higher level of transparency. This year EDR generated $934 million and by 2016, benefits are estimated at $1 billion annually.

Performance Award in Court Proceedings
Partner and Project: Arlington County, VA 17th Judicial District Court “Project Paperless”
The Arlington Circuit Court transitioned from paper records to electronic records for all civil and criminal court proceedings with Project Paperless, a four-year effort that resulted in elimination of paper, automating court workflows, and electronic filing – significantly increasing professional and public access to the courts.

Partner and Project: NYC DataBridge Program
The New York City Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics’ DataBridge Program is a cutting-edge analytics platform that integrates more than 100 million pieces of information from over 30 agencies. Data such as parking tickets and citizen complaints is analyzed to ensure services are prioritized based on need, and to reduce fraud and waste. For instance, the identification of unsafe buildings increased by 500 percent.

Performance Award in Enterprise Data Center Services
Partner and Project: Texas Data Center Services Program
Texas state agencies merged multiple data centers into two consolidated centers and Capgemini, as the Multi-Sourcing Integrator, improved service level performance and customer satisfaction while maintaining and reducing the cost of services - customer satisfaction has improved 45 percent.
