Beth Niblock is a veteran technology leader with deep expertise in public sector IT modernization. As CIO of Detroit, she led a major overhaul of the city’s digital infrastructure to improve citizen services helping the City of Detroit exit bankruptcy. Before working in Detroit, she was the first CIO for the newly merged City of Louisville and Jefferson County, Kentucky, driving initiatives to enhance public safety and government efficiency.
In 2021, the Biden administration appointed her CIO of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where she advanced IT modernization and data-driven decision-making.
Recognized for her leadership, she has earned honors such as Government Technology Magazine’s Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers, Top Women in Technology, Crain’s Most Influential Women, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky Leadership Award.
