Regents chairman Jon Rolph told The Mercury that Linton gave a report during an executive session in the Regents' regular meeting.
Rolph, who is the president and CEO of a group that owns and operates 150 restaurants, declined to give further details. Linton spoke in executive session, which is a part of a public meeting that's allowed to be private only in certain circumstances.
K-State said Wednesday it was investigating disruptions to multiple online systems following a cybersecurity breach.
Officials said the breach involves network systems including VPN, K-State Today emails, Canvas and Mediasite.
