According to a news release, the degree program includes concentrations in Amazon Web Services cloud technologies, information security and assurance, project management or secure software development and quality assurance.
The university said courses will be tuition-free for employees at ManTech, a defense contractor for U.S. military and intelligence agencies, as part of an ongoing partnership that helped create Purdue’s online bachelor data program in 2019.
“With this partnership, we strive to add mission-critical programs to our curriculum in order to provide ManTech’s workforce with cutting-edge knowledge and skills that help position the organization to realize its vision and mission,” Jeffrey Buck, vice president and dean of Purdue’s School of Business and Information Technology, said in a public statement. “As skilled tech professionals with data analysis expertise, ManTech employees will have the opportunity to make a difference by delivering best-in-class customer solutions.”
The degree was created through the Purdue Global Advantage Tuition Grant initiative, a workforce development program to train IT professionals tasked with work in national security and federal civilian agencies, according to the university.
