The acquisition of Eidex, which is known for its data-visualization capabilities, will help Munetrix build out a comprehensive suite of performance-analytics tools. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The two companies were competitors in the school data analytics space, as both sell tools that track student academic performance and behavior. Eidex’s website has been updated to note that it’s now part of Munetrix.
“Eidex has a history of success in providing a robust data solution for K-12 educators. The decision to acquire Eidex aligns with our commitment to be a driving force of innovation in K-12 performance analytics,” Munetrix CEO Ginny Norton said in one of two public statements. “The integration of Eidex into our operations expands market share and fuels our ability to innovate ... It’s an exciting development that resonates with our mission of simplifying data and performance analytics for educators to help improve student achievement and district performance.”
Eidex CEO Doug LaFleur said in a public statement that working with Munetrix will allow his company to expand its footprint in the nationwide K-12 market.
“Eidex has always been committed to helping school leaders make data-driven decisions for better student outcomes,” his statement read. “By becoming part of the Munetrix family, we not only continue to fulfill this commitment but also amplify our impact.”
This collaboration between the two companies broadens the customer base across the Great Lakes State, “fostering enhanced collaborative opportunities and knowledge-sharing among districts,” the news release said.
According to their respective websites, Munetrix has worked with 300 different communities since 2001 and offers 16 different tools, while Eidex serves more than 500 schools in various states.
