Atlanta Names Tye Hayes New Chief Technology Officer

Atlanta named Tye Hayes as its new chief technology officer in an announcement posted on Twitter Monday.

Hayes is an IT veteran who brings to her role experience in both the private and public sectors. According to her LinkedIn page, she served most recently as the CEO of N-Ovate Business Solutions, an IT consulting firm with a focus on the public sector — specifically education and government.

Prior to that, Hayes was the deputy chief information officer for Atlanta Public Schools for most of 2014. Her resume also includes stints as information security/privacy officer and program manager with major private-sector companies such as Lockheed Martin and General Electric.

Hayes’ appointment is part of the ongoing transformation of the executive team in Atlanta. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who took office in January, appointed Gary Brantley as the city’s chief information officer in September.
