Hayes is an IT veteran who brings to her role experience in both the private and public sectors. According to her LinkedIn page, she served most recently as the CEO of N-Ovate Business Solutions, an IT consulting firm with a focus on the public sector — specifically education and government.

Hayes’ appointment is part of the ongoing transformation of the executive team in Atlanta. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who took office in January, appointed Gary Brantley as the city’s chief information officer in September.
