Bertolini retired Aug. 30 after 31 years with the county, having held the position of deputy county executive and CIO before his departure. He will now oversee CDG’s annual Digital Cities and Digital Counties surveys, manage company relationships with local government associations and direct the Digital Communities program, which provides county and city officials with key insights.
The Center for Digital Government is the research and business intelligence arm of e.Republic.
Bertolini will be joining fellow Michigan native Teri Takai to lead CDG.
As CIO of Oakland County, Bertolini partnered with the public and private sector to improve services and performance, with initiatives like the G2G Marketplace that offered cities and counties a simple way to research, purchase and implement innovative tech solutions, among other achievements.
Bertolini’s first day at CDG will be Sept. 30.
