It’s no secret that ChatGPT is currently one of, if not the, most popular AI chatbots on the market. But did you know it’s as popular as major streaming services?

Like many streamers, OpenAI offers a handful of paid tiers of ChatGPT. There’s ChatGPT Plus, for which 7.7 million users pay $20 a month. Then there are another 1.2 million who pay $50 a month for ChatGPT Enterprise. And then there are about 980,000 who pay $25 a month for ChatGPT Teams. All told, this gives OpenAI an estimated 9.88 million monthly subscribers.

By comparison, YouTube TV has roughly 8 million monthly subscribers. The streaming-based provider is the fourth-largest cable television network in the U.S., but ChatGPT has nearly 2 million more estimated monthly subscribers.
