How much are people charging for iPhones with TikTok already downloaded?

TikTok and its users have been on quite the roller coaster ride in the U.S. over the last week. The service was completely unavailable over the weekend due to a new law that made it illegal for national security reasons. Then on Monday, newly inaugurated President Donald Trump signed an executive order allowing TikTok to continue to operate for another 75 days.

So now, if you already have the app installed you can use it again, but it remains unavailable for new downloads. And because there are always people out there who will try to capitalize on a difficult situation, there are now listings on eBay for iPhones that already have the app installed. They’re not cheap either, with some of these listings for a phone “Unlocked with TikTok App” asking as much as $50,000.

In addition to the fact that this is too much money just to have access to one app, buying one of these devices is a bad idea for multiple reasons. Someone would have had to use their Apple ID to download the app, which means you’ll need that information if you want to update it in the future. Said person could also use Activation Lock to remotely reset the device at any time. Not to mention that you can also just access TikTok on a browser instead.
