It’s official — the sound that computers made when rebooting on Microsoft Windows 95 is now a historical sound. The jingle was officially added to the National Recording Registry (NRR) of the U.S. Library of Congress on Wednesday.

According to the Library of Congress, the reboot sound was one of 25 recordings added to the NRR “as audio treasures worthy of preservation for all time based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage.” The sound was created by legendary artist and composer Brian Eno. Some of the other recordings added to the NRR included “My Heart Will Go On,” a recording of Hamilton, and the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John.

“These are the sounds of America — our wide-ranging history and culture. The National Recording Registry is our evolving nation’s playlist,” said Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. “The Library of Congress is proud and honored to select these audio treasures worthy of preservation, including iconic music across a variety of genres, field recordings, sports history, and even the sounds of our daily lives with technology.”
