What do you call a product that sprays displays in the air?

Answer: Vaporware.

Vapor
Panasonic has repurposed air conditioners to spray a fine, cooling mist on hot summer days. The mist is so fine that it doesn’t feel wet to the touch, but it can still cool you off. And it turns out, it also makes some pretty neat floating displays.

Aptly dubbed “vaporware” by The Verge, Panasonic has begun showing off the digital display capabilities of its Silky Fine Mist product. At a few tech expos recently, the company brought along its mist dispenser and a projector to create digital displays out of thin air/mist.

Unfortunately it’s not the most portable system, measuring 3 feet wide by 3 feet tall and weighing in at about 420 pounds. It’s also a hungry system, using 2.4 kilowatts of power. It is pretty cool, though (pun intended).
