What does Tom Brady have against Microsoft Surface tablets?

Answer: We don't know, but he sure has a habit of throwing them.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was seen throwing a Microsoft Surface tablet to the ground on the sidelines during Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. This of course caused a wave of speculation on the Internet: Did the tablet offend him somehow? Was he practicing spiking the ball after a touchdown? Or is he really just an Apple guy?

The most likely explanation is that Brady was just upset at what was going on in the game (his team was losing at the time) and the tablet was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when he needed to vent. After all, this isn’t the first time that Brady has thrown a Surface tablet during a game. After losing to, ironically, the Saints in a game last year, he threw one so hard it bounced and was reportedly destroyed.

Brady isn’t the only one who’s sent the Surface tablets, which Microsoft has been providing to the NFL since 2014, flying though. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was seen throwing one during a 2015 game, and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick (who is really not a fan of the devices) got frustrated and threw one during a 2016 game. Microsoft says the devices are designed to “stand up to the occasional drop” during the games, but being thrown by a professional quarterback may be another story.
