Moveable displays have been an increasingly popular trend in tech lately. We’ve seen smartphone screens that can be folded and televisions that can be rolled up. But now there’s a new one on the scene — stretchable displays.

LG’s stretchy digital displays, first debuted at CES in 2023, have made their way to the world of fashion. Called Stretchable, the tech was recently on display at 2025 Seoul Fashion Week. It was incorporated into garment fronts, sleeves and clutches from Korean designers Youn-Hee Park and Chung-Chung Lee.

The displays get their stretchiness from a silicon like the material typically used in contact lenses. The lighting for the display comes from micro-LEDs that are less than 40 micrometers in size. The displays can be stretched from 12 to 14 inches, about 20 percent, according to LG.
