There are a lot of benefits to ride-sharing, but this one in Colorado might surprise you. If you’re lucky, you just might get the chance to take a ride with Bowie the Uber Dog as your copilot.
Bowie’s human Kevin Ferman has been driving for Uber in the state for 10 years, and about 2.5 years ago he adopted a dog and began bringing him along. Ferman said Bowie’s presence makes the rides more enjoyable both for him and the passengers, as they are always happy to see Bowie chilling in the front seat and give him some pets.
Some riders are even regulars now thanks to Bowie. He has more than 522,000 social media followers, as well as a YouTube channel. Ferman said that having Bowie ride along may be “a simple thing, but it really makes people’s days.” As one rider put it, “I’ve never been happier in my entire life that I paid for a $19 Uber.”
