Where is the U.S. Constitution giving a 404 error message?

Answer: The White House website.

If you wanted to look up information on the U.S. Constitution on the official White House website, you’re currently out of luck. Internet users on Tuesday noticed that the White House’s web page on the Constitution appears to be down.

The page, which can be seen as it appeared before the error message on the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, provided information on the Constitution and how it became ratified. It also had links to other pages entitled Presidents, First Families, The Grounds and Our Government that provided information on those topics.

While the 404 error status of the Constitution web page coincides with a new presidential administration taking office, the White House has not commented. The new administration made other changes to federally controlled websites since the inauguration, including deleting reproductiverights.gov. That site was launched in 2022 and provided information about birth control and abortion, according to the Wayback Machine.
