Where is Waymo giving a $3 credit to riders headed for public transit stations?

Answer: San Francisco.

Passengers in Waymo’s San Francisco robotaxis this month could get a bonus if they’re headed to public transit. Through Nov. 15, the company is offering a $3 credit toward future rides for those using the service to get to select public transit stations.

The pilot program comes after a Waymo survey found 36 percent of Waymo One riders in San Francisco use the service to connect to public transit options like Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Muni and Caltrain. Participants won’t have to prove that they used the transit services — the credit will appear automatically if their destination is one of the participating stations.

The stations included in the pilot are Colma and Daly City with BART, Balboa Park and Glen Park with BART/Muni, West Portal and Revere/Shafter (T Third Street line) with Muni, and 4th & King Street and 22nd Street with Caltrain. Users will be limited to one $3 credit per day, and the credits will expire at the end of this year.
