The results are in, and you really shouldn’t be that surprised. Password management provider Dashlane has named SolarWinds as 2021’s worst password offender. After all, that “solarwinds123” password was just uncrackable.

Coming in behind SolarWinds in the No. 2 spot was, well, everyone. Literally, Dashlane named Combination of Many Breaches, or COMB, as this year’s second-worst password offender. That’s because 3 billion emails and passwords that had been stolen in the past from a range of services like Netflix and LinkedIn were all posted on a hacking forum.

And completing the podium in third place is Verkada, which develops cloud-based building security systems. A company username and password were found online and malicious actors were able to use it to access feeds from the company’s cameras all over the place. They were able to spy on people at Equinox gyms, Tesla factories, and even hospitals and jails. Yikes!
