City email, as well as systems that process administrative services, such as licenses and permits, remain down as of Sunday evening. Emergency police and fire response was not impacted, according to a Union City press release.
The city is asking residents to avoid requesting the processing of fees and licenses for the next week and will be waiving late fees, the press release states.
“We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience as we work to resolve this issue,” the city wrote in a press release. “…The goal of the City’s response is to restore full services and prevent the continued spread of the virus.”
Union City Hall will not open until noon Monday, as the city works to inform its employees about the issue. Individuals who need to contact city staff should do so via phone or by stopping by city hall, the press release states.
The city will be updating the public of its efforts to restore the city’s online services via their Facebook and Twitter pages and Nextdoor Account.
