Scammers are impersonating technology, banking and government officials in a complex ruse aimed at convincing a typically older victim that foreign hackers have infiltrated their financial accounts.

The city implemented a system to identity and detect drone activity in restricted airspace or near critical infrastructure. The deployment comes well ahead of the FAA mandate that requires drones be equipped with remote identification capability.

The city of El Paso, Texas, has partnered with the private sector to create the Economic Snapshot Dashboard, a data visualization that will paint a picture of the city’s economy as it grows and adapts.
