Sandra Blakemore has been named acting commissioner of the Chicago Department of Assets, Information and Services (AIS).

The change was made earlier this month, according to Chicago's website.

Until the city names a permanent replacement, Blakemore takes over the role for David Reynolds, who was AIS commissioner for 11 years before he left the city last month for a position with the Obama Foundation, according to The Daily Line.

Blakemore has been with the city for roughly five years, according to her LinkedIn page.

Before becoming acting AIS commissioner, Blakemore was a deputy commissioner for the department.
