Florida CIO James Grant has named Jeremy Rodgers as the state's chief information security officer for the Florida Digital Service (FLDS).

Rodgers brings 20-plus years of industry experience to the role, including working for an international information technology company while simultaneously serving in the U.S. Navy Reserve for the last ten years.

Most recently, Rodgers served as a client-architect partner with the U.S. Department of Defense, the intelligence community and other governmental entities to assist with intelligence and security analytics.

Prior to that, he focused on operations at U.S. Cyber Command in Fort Meade, Md., and served as a cyber-intel division officer with the Navy Reserve.

“Our relentless pursuit of top-tier talent continues to pay off with the addition of Jeremy to the FLDS team,” Grant said in a press release. “The depth and breadth of Jeremy’s experience make him uniquely qualified to lead our cybersecurity team and implement additional innovations across the enterprise.”

Rodgers said in the release, “I look forward to working with the fantastic team state CIO Grant has in place. Together, we will empower our people to solve problems and deliver solutions for all stakeholders.”
