Tamagotchis have been having a bit of a resurgence lately, with both kids and adults showing interest in the popular egg-shaped device once popular in the ’90s. Bandai’s latest version of the digital pet, Original Tamagotchi Celebration, really leans into the whole egg thing.

Not only is the device colored a tan/brown shade like some eggs, but it’s also made from real recycled eggshells. It’s all extremely fitting considering that the word "tamagotchi" comes from the Japanese words for egg and watch, "tamago" and "uotchi."

Unfortunately, it looks like the Original Tamagotchi Celebration isn’t Wi-Fi capable like the Tamagotchi Uni released last year, so you won’t be able to access the Tamaverse with it to interact with other players. But it does have all the features of the basic Tamagotchi gameplay.
